Bonding Systems

Product :   Prime&Bond® NT

Description :

Prime&Bond® NT is a one bottle, all purpose, self-priming dentine/enamel bonding system with a unique nanofiller added to the formulation. The nanofiller is so small it is 10 - 20 times smaller than the width of a collagen fibre. The key benefits this unique technology brings is higher bond strength, reduced technique sensitivity, a one layer application procedure and reliable and consistent results.

Prime&Bond® NT, when compared to its predecessor Prime&Bond® 2.1, has a greater resin concentration giving better saturation of the tooth surface and reduced technique sensitivity. The addition of a small resin and a new crosslinking agent result in a much tougher bonding agent with extremely high bond strengths whilst still maintaining its low viscosity and good penetration. The simple one layer application procedure ensures reliable results and less patient chair time.

Prime&Bond® NT is suitable for both composites and Dyract® eXtra Compomer, as well as ceramic restorations, composite inlays and adhesive repairs with amalgam and porcelain.

Canal Preparation

Product :   RaCe (Rotary with alternating Cutting edges)

Description :   RaCe from Schottlander is a revolutionary nickel titanium rotary system that doesn’t behave like a self-threading screw.

The RaCe design features one set of sharp cutting edges that alternate with a second set pitched at a different helix angle. Because the helix angles of the instrument alternate, they cut constantly and remove debris from the canal walls without the screw-in effect found in other instruments. The result is a rotary endodontic file with the lowest working torque on the market, optimum operator control, reduced risk of metal fatigue and improved resistance to instrument fracture.

The RaCe system further reduces torque by limiting the length of the cutting blades. Available in a progressive .10, .08, .06, .04 and .02 tapers, and used sequentially the RaCe instruments will eliminate torque spiking caused by files re-engaging previously instrumented canal walls.

The RaCe system will enable you to prepare canals quicker, more simply and with reduced risk of instrument breakage.

Magnification and Illumination

Product :   OPMI pico with Superlux 180

Description :

For First-Rate Optical Clarity, Think Nuview

Nuview’s OPMI pico with Superlux 180 xenon illumination boasts first-rate optical quality that enables comfortable, stereoscopic vision, outstanding depth orientation and high contrast to conquer dentistry’s everyday challenges where having the right light is essential.

As the result of German design and engineering, there is no need for extra space and no external cables to interfere with your work, Xenon illumination integrates perfectly into the OPMI pico.

The Superlux 180 simulates daylight conditions, regardless of the selected brightness, the result of which is a remarkably clear view of the usually hard-to-reach regions such as the apex.

Easy access to the light intensity control means procedures can be carried out without interruption and, of course, the integrated Superlux 180 xenon light source can be retrofitted to existing OPMI pico’s upon request and is compatible with the integrated video camera.

Oral Surgery

Product :   Ash® Luxation Instruments

Description :

Developed in order to help reduce trauma during extraction procedures, these instruments have a much more finely tapered tip and are effectively a combination of the characteristics of a Periotome and an Elevator. This combination allows their sharp tip to cut the periodontal ligament more efficiently, whilst the tapering shaft assists with controlled expansion of the bony socket.

One of the benefits many practitioners experience whilst using Luxation instruments is that a large proportion of extractions can become “totally Forceps free” and this can be especially valuable for younger patients as part of an orthodontic programme.

Ash® Luxation Instruments may also ensure better results, with less trauma to the site of extraction. Furthermore, minimising the use of Forceps means clinicians save time and procedures become more ‘hassle free’.

Restorative Materials

Product :   Chemfil® Superior

Description :

One of the supreme advantages of the glass-ionomer cement is its ability to establish a true, permanent bond to hydroxyapatite even under the moist conditions of cavities close to the gingival margin. ChemFil® Superior is at the forefront of glass-ionomer technology and links outstanding adhesion to superior handling characteristics and pleasing aesthetics. It combines a smooth and non-sticky consistency for easy application with a high powder loading for extra mechanical strength.

ChemFil® Superior offers both sufficient working time and the most rapid set possible. It is the ideal restorative material for:

  • Cavities with margins mainly in dentine
  • Cavities close to the gingival margin, where moisture control is not possible
  • Cases where cavity preparation and/or the acid etch technique are not accepted

ChemFil® Superior is available in a hand-mixed format and combines fast setting characteristics with a smooth, non-sticky consistency that is quite unique for a glass-ionomer.

Dyract® eXtra - Advanced Compomer Restorative

Description :

This revolutionary restorative product is the third generation of the widely accepted Dyract® range and has already exceeded its predecessor’s popularity and acclaim. Dyract® eXtra combines the strength and aesthetics of composites with the low net shrinkage and fluoride- releasing properties typical of glass ionomers.

Dyract® eXtra’s enhanced qualities include a longer working time of 90 seconds, allowing clinicians more time to produce perfect results, with just 10 seconds of curing time for a 2mm depth cutting chair-side treatment time. Wear resistance is uncompromised, and with improved hardness, Dyract® eXtra guarantees long-term durability in all cavity classes.

The shading system has been further rationalised and Dyract® eXtra demonstrates an exceptional chameleon-effect, making the clinician’s task even easier, producing outstanding aesthetic results. Backed by more than ten years of clinical experience and documented in more than 140 scientific publications, Dyract® eXtra has built up a reputation of being ‘the evidence based restorative’.
