However explaining how to floss for the umpteenth time during a busy working day can become wearisome, and you can be sure that nobody is going to master it in one go. It is all too easy to skip over the essentials or "leave it until the next visit".

What would be handy are some short concise videos that can be viewed during an appointment or by patients at home between appointments. Short but to the point they should demonstrate the essentials.

This is why we have developed in association with the British Dental Health Foundation Caring for your mouth, available on video tape and interactive CD-ROM . There are two versions of the video tape, one for the dental practice and the other for patients to view at home. Ten short sequence illustrate the essentials of oral care thereby helping to keep patients better informed and you to make the most of your time. There can now be no excuses at the review appointment!

The CD-ROM complements the video tape, incorporating all the video sequences but adding additional information, a quiz, and resource that can be used in a variety of ways. The CD is intended for use in the dental practice by dentists, hygienists or dental educators.

Aside from oral health education, our CPD titles whilst not designed specifically for patient education contain information that can be useful when explaining proposed treatments.
