Introduction

Aims & Objectives            

Aims

The aim of this course is to review your understanding of the principles of endodontic practice. It is designed to help you evaluate how new methods and materials have affected the process of endodontic therapy for both adult and child patients. We hope that it will useful not only as distance learning resource, but also to supplement hands-on courses for the primary care team.

Objectives

Upon completing the course the practitioner should have updated his/her knowledge of:

  • will have revised the basic science, with particular relevance to dental anatomy and pathology.
  • should be confident in assessing, diagnosing, and managing the treatment of pulpal and periapical conditions relating to both the permanent and primary dentitions
  • be able to utilise this resource to complement hands-on courses.

What do I need to run it?          

You will require:

  • A standard IBM compatible PC system with a CD-ROM and sound card
  • Windows 98, NT4, 2000 or XP operating systems.
  • 800 x 600 display resolution in True or High Colour (24 or 16 bit).

NB:

  • The program may be installed entirely on the hard disk, or operated entirely from the CD-ROM.
  • If no sound card is installed the narration and video are disabled.
  • For smooth playback of video, a Pentium II processor and an 8x CD-ROM drive are required. Please note that PC specifications vary, so this is only a guide.
